The Locker Room - Brent Cross


The Locker Room by Foot Locker  has recently opened in Brent Cross Shopping Centre with all internal and external signage by SIGNSCOPE. It is be the first store of its kind and “bridges the gap between sports performance and our traditional sportswear stores. Foot Locker is a global player, with 3,426 stores across 21 countries, including 70 stores in the UK.



Retail Week reports that the Locker Room store which was designed by Dalziel and Pow “looks a lot different” to Foot Locker, and is “sleek and professional looking”. The store which covers 4,350 sq ft  – will focus on sports including athletics, running and football and brands including Nike, Adidas, Asics, Reebok and New Balance.

Blaze Maintenance and Signscope Awarded ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001


Following an assessment by QMS, an independent body, Blaze Maintenance Limited and Signscope Limited have been awarded ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.  This certification for all three awards has only been achieved by less than 1% of UK businesses.  Both the foregoing companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Blaze Group Holdings Limited and for two companies in the same group to be credited with all three awards at the same time is virtually unknown.  These are prestigious awards which are recognised worldwide and we are very pleased to be able to announce our accreditation.

We have always been proud of the service we offer to our clients and the way in which we conduct our business in regards to our environmental, health and safety matters and the quality of the service and product that we provide.  Now with the awards of these ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 180001 certificates, this has been confirmed by outside experts who are used to judging standards on a daily basis on a wide variety of trades and industries.

Footlocker - Milan Flagship now open

Signscope have recently completed the new Footlocker flagship store in Milan which features one of the largest collections of sneakers in the capital of the most fashion conscious country in the world...! This temple of footwear is a brand centre for global footwear and features the latest  HOUSE OF HOOPS.

With a huge collection of basketball related sportswear, Signscope were responsible for all the store graphics within the millwork and shop display, as well as all the internal and external signage.

Restaurant and Bar Design Awards

Congratulations to Surface-ID who were Category Winners in the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards this year with two projects. Grosvenor Cafe which won the best Multiple Bar or Club, and Stravaigin which won the Best Pub category.

This year Signscope were involved in the manufacture and installation for all the signage at the Wintergardens venue at Canary Wharf, including the branding of the bars and awards podium. Maybe you were also lucky enough to take home one of the coveted awards that we made especially for the event!

Majestic Wine :: Fleet

Signscope have been working with Majestic on the implementation of a fresh identity on their stores, which are well know for excellent choice of international wines, and oustanding value. Using halo illuminated lettering the brand is really standing out in Fleet, Hampshire and in affluent locations across the UK.

Krispy Kreme :: Cardiff St Davids 2

 We have recently completed the signage for the latest Krispy Kreme in Cardiff's St Davids Centre.

With halo illuminated lettering to the main facsia, and internally illuminated GRP formed logos throughout, the store has a very strong identity.

With over a thousand people queuing for the opening, we'd like to think the signage played no small part in attracting them!

We're just putting the finishing touches to another project with Footlocker and Nike in Rotterdam. The store is a temple to all things basketball, and follows on from stores Signscope have completed in London, Barcelona and Paris.

Restaurant and Bar Design Awards :: Galvin La Chappelle - Best Restaurant WINNER

Setting out to create an award winning restaurant is no mean feat; great food, an achingly cool interior with attentive staff, and then there’s the brand identity. Signage has evolved a long way from the brass plaque outside the door, and there’s a huge range of technologies that can be applied to create a sophisticated message that conveys the brand identity and values.

In the 2010 Restaurant and Bar Design Awards, the winner Galvin La Chappelle features signage by SIGNSCOPE. The signmakers were selected by Main Contractor French Group, working in conjunction with Design LSM to bring the outline design to reality.

On the exterior, fret cut steel defines the sweeping stokes of the La Chappelle identity against the brickwork facade, the toughness of the material creating a powerful statement of what lies within. The 19th Century Grade II listed building is maintained largely open-plan and the glazed screens have been decorated with etched pattern and corporate identity – the superb lighting scheme creating an elegant and subtle brand message.

Cantina Laredo - Covent Garden

Signscope have recently been working on the launch of a major new Restaurant concept in London, undertaking the external and internal signage package.  Cantina Laredo has already established an excellent reputation for bringing the fresh and vibrant tastes of real Mexican cuisine to discerning diners in a sophisticated atmosphere.  The UK's first Cantina Laredo is located at St Martin’s Courtyard Covent Garden, in the heart of London’s Theatreland.

We regularly work with concept designers to deliver creative and visually effective corporate signage.

Mango - One New Change

There's a new Shopping Centre right in the Heart of the City of London. With striking lines creating powerful views of St Paul's Cathedral this will become one of London's luxury destinations.

Signscope have completed the signage for MANGO; one of the world's fastest growing fashion brands with over 1500 stores worldwide in 92 countries.

We worked with the project team to create signage which forms a sculptural element within the interior design.

Award winning projects


There’s nothing like being associated with successful projects and the LEVI’S on Regent Street which won the ‘Retail Interiors Award - Fashion Retail Interior of the Year 2010’ and ‘best VM Solution of the Year’ is a great example of our brand identification workmanship. From the exterior on Regent Street the shopfront signage which was prototyped, manufactured and installed by Signscope is pretty much all that identifies the entrance to this extraordinary store.

Vroom, vroom....!

 
If there’s one iconic brand that gets us all revved up it’s probably Harley Davidson. This year it’s the 105th Anniversary of this great brand and there a huge interest and market appetite for their bikes. Signscope have just completed the signage installation at the latest UK site in Lakeside Retail Park, a showpiece showroom where you can drool over the 32 model line-up.

Expect to see more of these palaces of cool at a forecourt near you...

The Hub - bringing everyday to life

Always do a good job, because your last customer is your next customer…

 Having earned our stripes with POUNDLAND, we’ve also been involved in the development, prototyping and installation of the new stores for the HUB, the new retail format introduced by entrepreneur David Dodds.

Brightly illuminated, with fresh, modern fascias and shop fronts the HUB offers an irresistible invitation to customers, and trading at the new stores has been very successful.

Signscope were also chosen to implement internal signage to create engaging product displays and clear navigation throughout the store to the checkout!

A shining beacon in the Heart of the City

The Cumberland Hotel near Marble arch is renown for it's stylish public areas , art gallery and of course the ultra popular Gary Rhodes restaurant W1!  With over 1000 contemporary bedrooms The Cumberland wanted to make an impressive external statement, and in conjunction with the new corporate identity we have recently completed this project for Guoman Hotels.

Burger King in Liverpool

Signscope have assisted Burger King in developing their new 20/20 image in the UK since the beginning of 2009.

The signage we provide includes LED face illuminated individual letters, GRP panelling and up lighting via red LED's externally, together with all internal signage including digitally printed art panels and city scape panels, various other digitally printed images, red LED uplit GRP panels and counter signage.

This work is ongoing as both company owned and franchised Burger King Restaurants refurbish old sites or develop new sites to this new image. Signscope have completed high street locations, shopping centre and airport locations across the UK.
